On September 5th, the Sasses went to a Minnesota Twins game at the Metrodome. While we were waiting for the game to start, an intern with the Twins organization, stopped by and asked if we wanted to play one of the promotional games during the game. Heidi said, "no", but she definitely wanted me to do it. So, I decided to play a game called "Dodgeball".

Dodgeball is a game where you throw a plastic ball from the upper deck of the Metrodome, and try to land it inside the truck bed of a Dodge truck. I had seen this game played before so I thought I might be able to do it.

Tim Gogolin and Troy and Melissa Gaul were there with us, so we asked Troy to come and take a couple pictures and some video of the action.

You get three balls to toss. The first one I threw too short. The second one, bounced very close right behind the truck and then hit the side of the truck bed and bounced out. This caused the 33,000 fans to give an appropriate "ahhhh".

The third and final toss is what is shown in the video link on the left. It ended up that the distance was right, but the bounce went too far to the right and I did not win the game. I did receive a $25 gift certificate to an auto store, so I will get a free oil-change out of the game.

The best part was yet to come. Before the game started, we talked with the camera guys and told them that Adam would love to get his picture on the screen. So after my final attempt, there is a nice shot of Heidi holding Adam for the entire Metrodome to see.

Last year for my 30th birthday, I stood in line and got a Bobblehead. This year, we got to be on the big screen at the Metrodome!
